Gold priced in NZ Dollars has barely moved from a week ago, up just $2.58 per ounce.
So the “buy the dip” situation remains with prices not far above the 2018 lows. More below: We’ve got 7 factors pointing to now being a good time to buy gold later on too.
NZD silver also hasn’t budged much. Up just under half a percent from last week. Silvertoo sits close to 2018 lows and just a bit above the multi year rising trend line. Also a prime “buy the dip” opportunity. Which hardly any one seems to be taking.
Kiwi Dollar Still Locked in Downtrend Longer Term
The Kiwi dollar remains in the longer term downtrend. As suspected it is having real trouble breaching the 50 day moving average line.

Why is Russia Selling US Treasuries and Buying Gold?
You may have noticed Russia has been buying gold steadily for since 2009.
But in the last few months a new trend emerged. The Russian central bank slashed its holdings of U.S. Treasury Bonds by over 80%. This is a massive move in such a short period of time. Some argue this was to aid in propping up the ruble, following various sanctions by USA and others.
However there are a number of other possible reasons too. Check them out to see what we can learn from Russia. There’s a short video in there too.
Maybe a crash isn’t right around the corner, but there seem to be a number of warning signs on the horizon.
