The Austrian Silver Philharmonic coin is a great way to add interest to your bullion holdings. The Austrian Silver Philharmonic coins commemorate the famed Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Musikverein Concert Hall where the musicians play.

Austrian Silver Philharmonic coins are widely-traded throughout Europe and around the world. These lovely Austrian Silver Philharmonic coins are highly desirable because of their unique design, extraordinary quality and because they carry the Austrian Mint’s reputation for confidence and trust.

First minted in 2008 the Vienna Philharmonic Silver Coin was designed by Thomas Pesendorfer.

The Austrian Philharmonic is the only silver coin denominated in Euro’s. It has a face value of €1.50 on the obverse side.

The obverse of the coin also features the Great Organ of the Golden Hall in Vienna’s concert hall, the Musikverein, along with the year and weight.

While the reverse of the Philharmonic coin includes an array of instruments, including the cello, violin, harp, Vienna horn and bassoon. And the words “Wiener Philharmoniker”, which is German for “Vienna Philharmonic”.
