In 2018, the silver Krugerrand bullion coin was launched. This coin is produced in unlimited mintage where the quantity struck is dependent on the market’s demands. The daily mintage relies on the daily price of silver.

The Silver Krugerrand is minted with one troy ounce (31.11 grams) of 999 fine silver.

It has a face value of 1 Rand (R1) backed by the government of South Africa.

These South African Krugerrand 1 oz Silver Coins come in mint sealed boxes of 500 coins. Inside are 20 tubes of 25 Silver Krugerrand coins. The minimum order size is 1 box.

About the Design of the 1 oz South African Krugerrand Coin 2020

The obverse of the 2020 1 oz South African Silver Krugerrand Coin features the effigy of Paul Kruger. Kruger was the first elected President of the South African Republic, Kruger had previously served in the Boer armies during the Boer Wars and then participated as a leader in the triumvirate that governed South Africa before the formation of the new republic.

On the reverse face of 2020 South African Silver Krugerrand Coins is the image of a Springbok antelope. This medium-sized antelope is the lone member of its genus and can be found primarily in southern and southwestern Africa.
