Weekly Price Overview – 5 August 2025

Gold bounced back strongly this week, while silver showed signs of divergence between currencies.

NZD gold is again approaching all-time highs, while USD silver pulled back after hitting resistance.

🟡 NZD gold jumped $174 to $5,767.42 (+3.11%), breaking back above the green uptrend line and pushing toward the previous highs. USD gold rose $56 to $3,383.75 (+1.67%), bouncing off the lower boundary of its sideways consolidation and nearing the upper channel.

NZD silver climbed $0.44 to $64.87 (+0.68%), holding above the $62.50 breakout zone and offering buying dips near support. USD silver slipped $0.28 to $38.06 (-0.72%), pulling back from near-term resistance at $38.50, but still looking bullish longer term.

💱 The NZD weakened -1.39% to 0.5867, falling below its 200-day moving average. While the short-term move is bearish, long-term momentum still suggests a higher Kiwi ahead.

📈 Technicals remain constructive. Gold is testing resistance after strong gains, and silver may offer near-term buying opportunities—especially in NZD terms.
